Job description

Job Summary

The IPS Front End Supervisor is responsible for managing daily operations, workflow, staffing, and scheduling to achieve business objectives. This role ensures compliance with policies and procedures, resolves operational issues, and supports team development through training and guidance.

The supervisor collaborates with internal teams and external team to ensure a high-quality customer experience, serves as a subject matter expert, and promotes operational efficiency through strong communication, organization, process management, and leadership skills.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and spearhead process improvements to enhance efficiency, including the introduction, testing, and implementation of new software.
  • Monitor case management in IPS Gate and Mission Control systems. 
  • Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive training plans for team members. 
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as required. 
  • Manage the daily activities of team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently. 
  • Establish and maintain individual and team performance standards to uphold quality, productivity, and consistent employee performance. 
  • Support the team in creating and executing periodic team goals.  
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure effective communication, streamlined processes, and consistent training across departments. 
  • Must complete engineering tasks for IPS cases, as necessary. 
  • Promote product/process unity and conformity within the company and across other teams. 
  • Collaborate and coordinate between multiple departments such as production, sales, marketing, quality, product management. 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Equivalent of 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in an office setting. 
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications. 
  • Prior experience with 3D modeling software.
  • General proficiency with learning software.
  • Proficiency with a computer mouse for fine motor applications.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Adhere and support KLS Martin’s quality and safety policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to learn new software quickly.  
  • Ability to retrieve and interpret documentation.
