To thrive as a Frontend Developer in government, you need a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and accessibility standards, often supported by a relevant degree or equivalent experience. Familiarity with frameworks like React or Angular, version control systems such as Git, and compliance with government digital service guidelines are typically required. These competencies are critical to delivering secure, accessible, and user-friendly digital services that meet public sector requirements.

What unique challenges might a Frontend Developer face when working on government projects?

Frontend Developers in government settings often encounter challenges related to strict accessibility and security requirements. Projects must comply with standards like WCAG for accessibility and follow government-mandated security protocols, which can introduce additional testing and development steps.
