Summit Spine and Joint Centers (SSJC) is a rapidly growing, multi-state Interventional Pain Management group practice providing integrated clinical, surgical, and imaging services. With clinic locations across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, our care teams include Integrated Pain Solutions in North Carolina and Savannah Pain Management in Georgia, all operating as part of the SSJC organization. As one of the largest single-specialty practices in the nation, we are committed to collaboration, high-quality patient-centered care, and supporting our teams as we continue to expand. We are seeking motivated, qualified professionals to join us in delivering exceptional care across our growing network.
Job Description Summary:
Under general supervision of a licensed provider the Lead Front Desk Receptionist will oversee the day-to-day operations and training of the front receptionist. Delegate workload to Receptionists scheduled in specific locations, manage shift breaks, and ensure all daily front office tasks are completed. Communicate with the Providers, Lead Medical Assistant, Lab Collectors and Medical Assistants for efficiency and flow of the office
This job is a full-time, benefited position at Summit Spine amp; Joint Centers that reports to the Front Desk Operations Manager. This position’s primary locations will be for region 6 clinic locations (see below) and subject to change based on coverage/business needs.
Region 6 Operating Schedule:
  • Dalton (ASC): Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
  • Ringgold: Tuesday - Thursday 8am-5pm
  • Chattanooga: Friday 8am-5pm
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure staff is maintaining proper customer service such as greeting patients and tone of voice Ensure Patient Payment Log is correct with staff
  • Obtain Liens for the day
  • Obtain BCBS Checks if any
  • Resolve any insurance issues using the chat
  • Reach out to management with any insurance copay payment plans
  • Double check money matches at the end of the day / petty cash
  • Train new hires in each of the different stations
  • Assigning scan piles to different stations at the front desk
  • Cover any station when a staff member is late/cannot come in
  • Ensure that staff has completed all daily tasks (callbacks, scanning sheets, sending sheets, etc.) as well as restocked station before they leave for the day
  • Confirm staff is using the correct MESVT when taking credit card payments
  • Communicate and mediate with patients on questions Receptionist may not be able to assist with.
  • Assist with upset patients/patient concerns – Contact Manager for help with this
  • Report any misconduct in the front office to the manager. E.g. Tardiness, lack of efficiency, phone use
  • Monitor overall flow of the office and help where necessary
  • Complete any additional task requested by management
Skills And Abilities:
  • Must be willing to travel to other locations
  • Detail-oriented
  • Willingness to cross-train on all other clinical responsibilities
Education And Experience:
  • Experience using eClinicalWorks or other EHR system preferred
  • 1-year clinical experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
