JOB SUMMARY:

Part-time Office Assistant to assist the Lead Administrative Assistant in the Extension office for 20 hours per week. Handle daily calls, walk-in customers, and processing of various samples. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

10% - Assist office staff as needed with program preparation and activities. 40% - Assist clientele with soil samples and plant problem submissions. Prepare and process various samples for mailing and/or delivery. 50% - Assist walk in clientele by answering questions and routing phone calls to appropriate staff members.

A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:

Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
