Job description

Seaman Paper Company is hiring a Master Mechanic for its paper mill location in Otter River, Mass. The position is a six day a week position. Position is a union based position with base pay, overtime after eight hours and time and a half for Saturday and double time for Sunday. Position requires experience in:

Mechanical repairs to mill equipment, pumps, etc.

Ability to rebuild pumps and install bearings.

Ability to utilize welding and cutting equipment.

Ability to work independently. Ability to manage work loads down to maintenance team members, vendors etc.

Ability to look at and understand prints and drawings.

Ability to operate company equipment- front end loader, back hoe, plow truck.

Candidate will be required to carry a company phone and be responsible for call in as needed to install, maintain and repair mill equipment. (Nights, Weekends, Holidays)

Position is required to work all scheduled maintenance shutdowns including holidays.

Successful candidate must provide own set of tools.

Mass Hoisting Class 2B (or 2A) license within 60-90 days of start in position for operation of backhoe or front-end loader.
