Pay: $28-32/hr + $178 daily per diem for days worked

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable, experienced, and safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment on construction job sites to support project completion. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating multiple types of equipment, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate heavy equipment, including backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, graders, water trucks, cranes, and dump trucks.
  • Perform site work such as digging, grading, trenching, hauling, excavation, and material placement as directed by supervisors.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure equipment is safe and in proper working condition.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance and promptly report mechanical issues or equipment concerns.
  • Follow all company safety policies, job-site requirements, and applicable OSHA regulations.
  • Work closely with supervisors and crew members to complete projects safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
  • Assist with general site preparation, cleanup, material handling, and other duties as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency operating equipment such as excavators, backhoes, dozers, graders, water trucks, and dump trucks.
  • Experience operating Caterpillar (CAT) and John Deere equipment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of equipment safety practices, job-site hazards, and safe operating procedures.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to identify and report minor equipment issues.
