Job description

We are looking to hire a dynamic individual that is an outgoing people person!  This person will lead the front office team as the Front Desk Manager.
Job Overview:
Front Desk Manager is responsible for the following:
  • Answer inquiries and check-in/out guests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee VIP and special guest requests.
  • Follow and enforce hotel credit policies.
  • Monitor guest feedback and GIS scores.
  • Ensure the maximization of room revenue.
  • Generate and update required reports, files, and checklists.
  • Help maintain productivity levels at or above budgeted standards.
  • Run room status reports and relay necessary information to affected departments.
  • Assist in training and cross-training of new hires and current employees.
  • Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow employees.
  • Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations and follow the rate-quoting scenario.
  • Operate relevant aspects of the Front Desk property management system.
  • Maintain inventory of front office supplies and purchase of supplies when necessary.
  • Be knowledgeable of rates, packages, and promotions.
  • Complete and/or ensure proper bucket checks are done each shift with room rate verification and housekeeping status report.

Mandatory Requirements:
  • At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or customer service atmosphere.
  • A High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds or less, stand on feet for long periods of time, and bend, crouch, reach with no difficulty.
