Job description

The Financial and Front Desk Assistant will proactively work with the Front Desk and the Billing Department to review patient accounts, follow up and collect outstanding balances to minimize Accounts Receivable, perform eligibility, benefits, educate patients regarding their plan benefits, collect copays, outstanding balances, make payment arrangements, post payments.

Qualifications:
  • Medical Billing Certification or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in medical billing and collections.
  • Must be able to understand patient accounts and patient balances.
  • Able to communicate terms of Financial Policy to patients.
  • Dedication to quality customer service; strong interpersonal skills with exceptional telephone skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professionalism and commitment to the organization and its mission.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.

Job Duties include:
  • Review patient accounts for outstanding balances.
  • Following up on outstanding claims with insurance carriers.
  • Collecting patient copays, deductibles, balances.
  • Educating patients of their benefits and services.
  • Establishing payment arrangements.
  • Post payments.
  • Check in patients.
  • All other duties as assigned.
