Summary: 

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform all tasks necessary to maintain equipment and support operational performance. These tasks include corrective maintenance, the repair of equipment to its intended operating condition, and preventative maintenance to maintain optimal performance of equipment. In this role, you will use a variety of skills to support maintenance tasks including, but not limited to: Millwright, Machine Repair, Machining, Pipefitting, Sheet Metal, Welding, HVAC, Basic Electrical, Rigging, Vehicle Repair, Carpentry, Lubrication, and Painting. The Multi-skilled Maintenance Mechanic may also execute projects, which will include installing new equipment and making process changes to equipment or systems.

 
Location: 

Webster, NY
 

Pay Rate: 

  • $34.20/hour plus generous differentials and overtime available
  • Higher tiered promotional opportunity typically within 1 year 


Schedule:

Monday through Friday - night shift with overtime available

Full time - Monday through Friday nights with some flexibility available.
 

Responsibilities:
 
  • Work cooperatively with all Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations team members in a non-jurisdictional, teamwork environment.
  • Strictly adhere to safety requirements and policies.
  • Capable of performing many tasks, in many different skill sets.
  • Support all aspects of the maintenance, manufacturing and operational process, as needed, and determined by Management.
  • Function effectively in an unstructured environment.
  • Be flexible and willing to work different shift configurations as needed.
  • Accept change and embrace continuous learning and improvement.
  • Handle stressful manufacturing environments with demanding production expectations.
  • Conduct business with a customer driven approach.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Journeyman status strongly preferred or equivalent experience
  • Industrial Maintenance experience strongly preferred
 
Additional qualifications:
 
  • Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Experience trouble-shooting mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and repair mechanical and electrical equipment defects.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret piping and instrumentation drawings.
  • Able to use protective equipment, including safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, respiratory protection, hearing protection, face mask/covering where required, and other protective clothing based on job assignments/duties.
  • Able to work at heights and in confined/enclosed spaces.
  • Demonstrated understanding of process control principles and their application.
  • Computer literacy - knowledgeable/competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Proven ability to relate well in a people-oriented and team environment.
  • Demonstrated maturity and stability in a work environment.
