Job Overview

The Warehouse Order Selector selects grocery products for shipment using a double pallet jack and a voice-directed picking system. This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently filling customer orders while following established safety, production, and quality standards.

Safety, accuracy, damage prevention, and warehouse cleanliness are essential parts of this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, store, and select grocery, perishable, and general merchandise products from warehouse inventory.
  • Operate a double pallet jack or forklift to transport products throughout the warehouse.
  • Accurately identify, select, and transfer products to the appropriate loading area.
  • Maintain established performance standards for speed and accuracy while minimizing product damage.
  • Verify that the correct labels are placed on each pallet.
  • Work safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Build positive working relationships by remaining professional, courteous, and respectful.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Warehouse, order-selection, shipping, receiving, or pallet-jack experience is preferred.
  • Experience in a physically demanding position is preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to complete a background check, drug screening, and physical-capabilities test.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from approximately 0°F to 80°F.
  • Must be flexible and available to work any day, Monday through Sunday.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
  • Night shifts may include hours such as 6:00 p.m.–2:00 a.m.
  • Shifts may be eight or ten hours depending on operational needs.
