Job description

Essential Responsibilities

* Organizing and providing oversight to internal and external meetings including project meetings, forums/workshops, and conferences

* Develop, write, and edit scientific and technical documents, including workshop reports and scientific manuscripts for publication

* Identification, collection and organization of all available information on alternative toxicological assays including literature and internet searches of public access databases

* Evaluation of statistical data

* Presenting information in public forums

* Providing support to commercial safety assessment projects

Additional Responsibilities

* Technical writing and editing

* Work in a team environment with a professional and positive attitude

* Other duties as needed

Management Responsibilities

* None

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Education:

1. B.S. in a related scientific field (preferably toxicology)

2. M.S. in a related scientific field (preferably toxicology)

Experience:

1. 4+ years in scientific writing and editing (preferably toxicology)

2. 1+ years in scientific writing and editing (preferably toxicology)

Skills:

o Excellent organizational skills.

o Strong, proven technical writing and editing skills.

o Ability to exercise independent judgment

o Function well independently or in a team environment.

o Excellent communication skills.

o Computer skills with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint

o Aptitude or willingness to learn basic coding (such as R or Python) for data organization and pipeline automation
