Job description

Position Summary:

The Tow Dispatch Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating daily operations by managing incoming calls, scheduling and assigning drivers, monitoring jobs in progress, communicating with customers and drivers, and ensuring efficient workflow throughout the day. The successful candidate must be highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working with technology and multiple software systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and dispatch drivers, tow operators, or trucking personnel efficiently and effectively
  • Monitor active jobs and deliveries while ensuring schedules are met
  • Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and internal team members regarding job status and updates
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Track vehicle locations, route progress, and operational updates through dispatch software and GPS systems
  • Input, update, and maintain accurate records within company systems
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and customer requests professionally
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and respond quickly to changing priorities
  • Maintain strong attention to detail while ensuring timely completion of assignments
  • Assist with operational coordination and support additional administrative tasks as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and contribute ideas to streamline operations


Requirements:

  • Prior experience or foundational knowledge in the trucking, towing, logistics, transportation, or dispatch industry preferred, not required
  • Strong computer proficiency and confidence using multiple applications and systems simultaneously
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new software and technologies
  • Experience with dispatch platforms, GPS tracking systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, or transportation software is a plus
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
  • Strong ability to prioritize responsibilities and remain calm under pressure
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to grow professionally
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Must be available to work a rotating schedule of four (4) consecutive days on followed by four (4) consecutive days off. This schedule includes weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Overnight Work hours are from 6PM to 6AM
