Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ psychological and emotional needs, developing personalized treatment plans that incorporate their goals and preferences.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing established therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) to address a wide range of presenting issues.
• Provide specialized support for clients coping with PTSD, implementing trauma-informed care strategies to foster safety and recovery.
• Manage case oversight, ensuring timely referrals to other healthcare professionals and resources when additional support is required.
• Maintain comprehensive records of therapy sessions in compliance with industry standards, including ICD-9 classifications, to guarantee accurate documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to enhance treatment plans and improve patient outcomes.
• Offer child and family counseling services to help strengthen familial relationships and facilitate communication among family members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Champions Recovery, you will primarily work with diverse populations, including individuals dealing with acute emotional distress, families navigating challenging dynamics, and clients experiencing the aftermath of traumatic events. From children to adults, your focus will be on empowering clients through challenges while fostering resilience and stability in their lives.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
• Possession of an active LMFT license in California is necessary for this role.
• A minimum of two to three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting is essential.
• Proficient knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and treatment methodologies is expected.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong organizational abilities to manage varying workloads effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy practices will be beneficial.
• A background in trauma-informed care is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

Champions Recovery, Ltd offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
