Experienced Full-Time Standby Confined Space Rescue Lead Technician

Location: Houston, TX and Surrounding Areas
Job Type: Full-Time / On-Call
Pay: Competitive (Based on Experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Standby Confined Space Rescue Lead Technicians to provide emergency rescue coverage for industrial facilities throughout the Gulf Coast. Candidates must have a strong sense of safety, the ability to work in demanding industrial environments, and be available for a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and short-notice assignments.

This position is ideal for firefighters, industrial rescue professionals, EMTs, or experienced confined space rescue technicians looking for supplemental income.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide standby rescue services for confined space entries and other high-risk work activities. 
  2. Maintain constant readiness to perform technical rescue operations. 
  3. Conduct atmospheric monitoring and assist with entry permit compliance when assigned. 
  4. Inspect and maintain rescue equipment before and after each shift. 
  5. Communicate effectively with client personnel and project management. 
  6. Follow OSHA, NFPA, and company safety policies at all times. 
  7. Participate in rescue drills and ongoing training as required. 

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Minimum 2 years of industrial confined space rescue LEAD experience required. . 
  2. Working knowledge of rope rescue systems, retrieval equipment, and rescue operations. 
  3. Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record. 
  4. Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and fit-for-duty physical. 
  5. Must be able to wear respiratory protection and work in hot outdoor environments. 
  6. Strong communication and teamwork skills. 

Preferred Certifications

  1. OSHA 30 
  2. Rope Rescue Technician 
  3. EMT or Paramedic 
  4. Industrial Fire Brigade 
  5. First Aid/CPR/AED 
  6. HAZWOPER (24 or 40 Hour) 
  7. TWIC Card 

Requirements

  1. Must live in the Houston, Texas area or surrounding communities.
  2. Must have full availability and be willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  3. Ability to respond to assignments on short notice is highly desirable. 
  4. Must be capable of lifting 75 pounds, climbing ladders, wearing fall protection, and working in elevated or confined environments.
