Radiographer/X-ray Tech Job Description

Our client is seeking a qualified Radiographer/X-ray Tech to join their dynamic team in Pensacola, FL. As a key member of the medical imaging department, the Radiographer will perform a full range of General Radiology procedures in a digital/PACS environment. This role encompasses responsibilities in both a hospital/trauma and outpatient setting, involving various procedures such as Portables, fluoroscopy, operating room, trauma, contrast studies, and DEXA bone densitometry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a full range of General Radiology procedures in both hospital/trauma and outpatient settings.
  • Confirm order, verify patient details, and enter exam information accurately in Meditech.
  • Obtain high-quality images, considering technical and positional factors.
  • Maintain exposures to ionizing radiation as low as reasonably achievable.
  • Confirm patient demographics and lead markers before processing/QA and releasing images.
  • Adapt to schedule changes, including call shifts and call back for procedures/holidays.
  • Follow policies and procedures of West Florida Hospital.
  • Participate in the Quality Improvement process and adhere to WFH standards of behavior.
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of RECENT (WITHIN THE LAST YEAR OR TWO) ACUTE CARE RAD TECH EXPERIENCE.
  • Graduate of an ARRT Accredited Program and current ARRT registry required.
  • Current ARRT registry required; Florida Certification is required.
Additional Information:
  • ARRT and FL license required before start.
  • Weekend Differential: $2.
  • On Call Differential: $3.
  • Sign-on Bonus: $5,000.
