Job description

CT Technologist

Become a vital part of our team as an experienced CT Technologist. You will accurately follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials when indicated, and operate CT equipment to provide timely diagnostic imaging services for inpatients and outpatients. Responsibilities include routine diagnostic CT procedures (head, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen/pelvis, extremities), biopsy/drainage assistance, processing CT systems, and working with contrast media and cross-sectional anatomy. Additional duties include basic radiographic procedures, portable radiography, C-arm and OR imaging as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current ARRT registration in Radiologic Technology.
  • State licensure as a general radiographer for Texas.
  • Minimum 2 years of CT experience in an acute care setting.
  • Experience performing freestanding ER radiology exams including CT and X-ray.
  • Demonstrated proficiency on Toshiba/Canon CT scanners; CT experience on Toshiba Aquilion 64 preferred.
  • Familiarity with MEDHOST EDIS and Change Healthcare/McKesson PACS.
  • BLS certification.
  • Willingness to comply with traveler distance requirement (must reside greater than 50 miles from facility).
  • Ability to provide permanent home address on submission (do not include SSN on submission).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with GE X-ray units and portable radiography.
  • Prior experience with sterile procedures and interventional CT assistance for biopsies/drainage.
  • Black or solid color scrubs preferred by site.

Assignment Details

  • Shift hours: 1900–0700.
  • Schedule pattern: 7 on / 7 off.
  • No floating required.
  • No on-call responsibilities.
  • Block scheduling not permitted.
