Job description

X-Ray Technologist / Medical Radiology Technologist

A leading healthcare organization in Syracuse is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Technologist) to join its outpatient Radiology team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an imaging professional dedicated to providing excellent patient care while producing high-quality diagnostic images.

Compensation: $29.80 – $43.93 per hour (based on experience & qualifications)

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform general radiography procedures, including patient positioning and image acquisition
  • Prepare patients and accurately interpret physician orders for imaging exams
  • Operate radiographic equipment and adjust technical factors to obtain diagnostic-quality images
  • Ensure patient safety through proper shielding and radiation protection practices
  • Review images for quality and completeness
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support efficient patient flow

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Medical Radiography or equivalent
  • NYS Radiologic Technologist license/registration or eligibility
  • ARRT certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
