Job description

CDR ProSource is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bilingual Industrial Sewer to join our team in Niles, MI. The ideal candidate will have industrial sewing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with heavy fabrics and technical textiles. Candidates with at-home sewing experience may be considered and trained.

  • Location: Niles, MI
  • Pay Rate: $16-$17 (Depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial sewing machines to sew and assemble canvas covers for carts.
  • Hem and sew rectangular pieces onto cart covers, including four sides and a top.
  • Cut, measure, and assemble fabric and other materials using templates or patterns.
  • Perform binding, hemming, top stitching, and seam reinforcement.
  • Read and follow patterns, work orders, and fabrication specifications.
  • Use a handheld crimping tool to install snaps on covers.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sewing work area.

Requirements
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • 1+ year of industrial sewing, upholstery, or similar experience preferred.
  • Candidates with at-home sewing experience may be considered for training.
  • Ability to pass an in-person sewing skills test.
  • Experience working with heavy fabrics or technical textiles is a plus.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure, patterns, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
