Roaming Maintenance Technician

Mountain Creek is a growing company that currently owns and manages approximately 3,500 apartment units in parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. As the portfolio has grown and continues to do so, we have the need to round out our Management Team and are seeking a motivated and dependable Roaming Maintenance Technician to support multiple apartment communities within our growing portfolio.

This person will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our management company and our communities. The position is ideal for an individual with strong maintenance knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and is comfort working with a high degree of independence.

The Roaming Maintenance Technician will travel between assigned properties to assist with work orders, apartment turns, special projects, preventative maintenance, emergency maintenance, and property upkeep. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the appearance, safety, and overall resident satisfaction of our communities.

Responsibilities

Complete residential service requests and maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.

Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, doors, windows, locks, and other building systems.

Complete special renovation projects as needed, such as management office and clubhouse renovations, playground repairs, deck repairs, pressure washing, lighting upgrades, small retaining wall repairs, new fencing and sign installations.

Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections throughout the property.

Maintain curb appeal including grounds, common areas, hallways, amenities, and exterior building upkeep.

Assist with apartment turnovers as needed including painting, drywall repair, cleaning preparation, appliance installation, and general repairs.

Assist with emergency maintenance calls and after-hours maintenance rotations as needed.

Work alongside Property Managers, Maintenance Supervisors, vendors, and regional staff to ensure property operations run smoothly.

Help support understaffed properties or high-volume turn periods as directed.

Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and communicate updates effectively.

Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.

Represent MountainCreek Properties in a professional and respectful manner at all times.

Qualifications

Prior apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred.

General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repair.

HVAC certification preferred but not required.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong time management and organizational skills.

Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.

Ability to travel between properties as needed.

Ability to participate in an on-call rotation if required.
