Working nights here means caring for residents over time, building real relationships, and developing a deeper understanding of their needs — without the constant daytime interruptions.

This role is ideal for nurses who thrive on nights, value independence, and take pride in being the steady clinical presence residents depend on after hours.

Position Overview: Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

As a Night Shift RN, you'll provide high-quality nursing care while serving as a trusted clinical leader during overnight hours. You'll work closely with residents, CNAs, and on-call providers to ensure comfort, safety, and continuity of care in a calm, team-oriented environment.

This Role Is Perfect for a Nurse Who:

  2. Values building strong relationships with long-term residents
  3. Is confident working with greater autonomy and clinical judgment
  4. Prefers a smaller, community-focused facility
  5. Wants competitive pay, strong benefits, and a meaningful sign-on bonus
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver patient-centered nursing care during overnight hours
  2. Assess, monitor, and document residents' conditions and changes
  3. Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
  4. Collaborate with on-call providers and interdisciplinary team members as needed
  5. Provide calm reassurance and emotional support to residents overnight
  6. Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with regulations
  7. Foster a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic nighttime environment
  8. Supervise and support nursing assistants to ensure quality care delivery
Qualifications:
  1. Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
  2. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric and rehabilitation care
  3. Excellent communication and decision-making skills
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively during night hours
  5. Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care
  6. Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS certification a plus
Benefits:
  1. Competitive hourly pay ($31.00–$40.25)
  2. $15,000 sign-on bonus
  3. Night shift differentials
  4. Health insurance
  5. Dental insurance
  6. Vision insurance
  7. Life insurance
  8. 401(k) retirement savings plan
  9. Paid time off and paid holidays
Why Night Nurses Choose Valley View:
  1. Quieter environment with fewer interruptions
  2. Strong teamwork and support even overnight
  3. Consistent routines and resident continuity
  4. Leadership that values and trusts night-shift nurses
  5. A workplace that truly feels like home
