Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU Recovery RN to join our team at RMA of New York in Eastside, New York and Brooklyn, New York.

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday; Schedules vary depending on the day (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM Eastern Time); 1 to 2 Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) a month and 2 to 3 holidays per year.
  • Compensation: $95,000 (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the OR/PACU Recovery RN will:

  • Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
  • Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
  • Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received IV sedation. conscious sedation
  • Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
  • Provide patient education

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experience—individuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter.

Qualifications and Skills Include:

  • Active RN license
  • Current BLS and/or ACLS certification
  • Over 1 year nursing experience and PACU experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
