Position Overview

Veterans Rethink Counselling, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Therapist to join our Outpatient MD Office in Tracy, California. This pivotal role focuses on assisting individuals in their recovery from substance use disorders within a supportive and collaborative environment. As a full-time therapist, you will contribute to our comprehensive approach to treatment, making a profound difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while working with our detox center facility. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and intake interviews to evaluate the unique needs of patients seeking help for substance use disorders.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's goals.
  • Provide one-on-one counseling sessions using techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to foster positive behavioral change.
  • Lead group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing social support networks and shared experiences among individuals in recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role requires a focus on individuals from diverse backgrounds seeking help for substance use disorders. Our patient population includes veterans, active-duty personnel, and civilians facing addiction challenges. As a therapist, you will approach each case empathetically, understanding the unique situations and complexities each client brings to their recovery process.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in mental health counseling, specifically in treating substance use disorders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities and best practices related to addiction recovery.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective engagement with clients and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a detox center or similar facility is highly desirable.
  • Licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • Proficiency in modern telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually for full-time employees, with the potential for part-time roles starting at USD 63,000 to 65,000 a year.
