As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, you will work in a state-of-the-art hospital facility in San Antonio, Texas, equipped with the latest medical technologies and resources. • Conduct thorough health assessments, including patient medical history, physical exams, and necessary screenings to identify health concerns.
• Diagnose and treat various women's health issues, such as reproductive health disorders, menstrual irregularities, and menopausal symptoms, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Provide family planning services, offering contraceptive counseling and education on reproductive health, alongside prescribing and fitting contraceptive options.
• Perform routine gynecological exams, Pap smears, breast examinations, and manage laboratory tests as part of standard care protocols.
• Oversee comprehensive prenatal care for expectant mothers, monitoring fetal health and providing necessary education about pregnancy and childbirth processes.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care approaches for our patients.
• Educate and counsel patients on sexual and reproductive health topics, addressing concerns related to STDs, fertility, and preconception care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to formulate effective treatment plans and monitor patient progress over time.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain compliance and continuity of care.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes, while staying informed on the latest developments in women’s health practices through continuous education.

This role focuses on a diverse group of patients, including teenagers, women of reproductive age, and those transitioning through menopause. Your approach will need to be sensitive to the various stages of a woman’s life, understanding their unique healthcare needs, emotional wellbeing, and preventative health practices. Building strong, trust-based relationships with patients is essential to promote proactive engagement in their health management.

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, ensuring the highest standard of practice.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in women’s health settings, particularly within primary care or OB/GYN environments.
• Firm knowledge base in areas such as gynecology, reproductive health, prenatal care, and the management of menopause.

• Previous experience in a hospital or women’s health clinic setting.
• Competence in utilizing electronic health record systems for patient documentation and care management.
• Familiarity with current trends in women’s health and reproductive rights, advocating for patient-centric health policies.
