Job description

Radiology Technologist Travel Job:

U.S. Nursing is seeking experienced and self-motivated travel Rad Techs for a potential strike in the fall.

Radiology Technologist Qualifications:

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) certification
  • BLS
  • Two years of recent experience as Rad Tech, within the past two years.
  • Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree program.

In addition you must:

  • Commit to a full 9 days away from home, one U.S. Nursing receives the official 10-days notice.
  • Be available to work ANY shift. U.S. Nursing does not guarantee shift placement.
  • Hand-carry your complete file.
  • Not be CURRENTLY WORKING or IN PROCESS for any Fastaff assignment.

Radiology Technologist Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
  • Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
  • Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; developing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
