JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY: Food Production - General Production - Storm Lake Pork Plant - Storm Lake, Iowa

Hours: Determine by Department placement (Must be willing to work in all areas based on facility staffing needs, location needs determine shift of work available)

Pay: Starting at $23.60/HR

This position is responsible for performing entry-level, non-skilled general labor tasks while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to, the following

  • Must be able and willing to work in any department of this pork processing facility.
  • Must be able and willing to work a schedule that may include Monday through Saturday, based on production and operational needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able and willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and reach throughout the work shift.
  • Must be able and willing to lift materials and products as required by the assigned work area; lifting requirements vary by department.
  • Must be able and willing to work in cold, damp, hot, and/or humid environments.
  • Must be able and willing to walk and work on potentially slippery surfaces.
  • Must be able and willing to perform physical labor for the duration of the assigned shift.
