Overview
Presbyterian Homes & Services - Optage Hospice is seeking an on-call Music Therapist for its team.
This on-call position will play a key role in supporting coverage for an upcoming medical leave,with strong potential to continue in a long-term on-call capacity. Ideal for candidates looking to step in quickly, make an immediate impact, and grow into an ongoing role with continued opportunities.
Optage Hospice offers older adult patients, their families and caregivers the care, insight and guidance to live as fully and comfortably as possible. Our comprehensive program is designed to help our clients achieve the best quality of life, ensuring they receive loving care and respect. A customized, family-centered plan of care is developed for the clients and is updated continuously. Services are provided in surroundings that are familiar; a private home, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing care center - wherever you call home.

Responsibilities
The Music Therapist is responsible to coordinate and integrate a variety of large and small music therapy groups and individual music sessions for all functioning levels of residents and patients to help meet their social, intellectual, physical, spiritual and emotional needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in music therapy or equivalent required
  • Current board certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists or board certification obtained within six months from date of hire.
  • Able to work independently and as an interdisciplinary team member.
  • Must possess musical skills in different mediums of music.
  • Utilize professional knowledge and technical expertise through the consistent application of concepts, methods, and principles involved in Music Therapy practice.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible, willing to cross over geographic areas as needed.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of insurance require

Pay Range
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $26.99 - $30.87 per hour. This good faith estimate is based upon PHS's typical starting pay range for this role. Actual pay range depends upon many factors including each individual employee's qualifications and market conditions and is subject to change.

Full-time benefits-eligible employment begins at a minimum of 30 hours per week:
