Pharmacist - In-Patient Pharmacy - PRN


Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital, stand-alone, not-for-profit hospital located in Ste. Genevieve, MO that focuses on personalized care. Our 25-inpatient bed facility is a Medicare 4-star rated and is ranked in the top 1% nationally for Patient Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. Our deep community roots date back as the oldest town west of the Mississippi river and is the first French settlement Missouri with the hospital employing approximately 490 employees and 100 multi-specialty providers on staff. Requirements:

What to expect as an In-Patient Pharmacist:

  • Ensure safety and appropriateness of medication therapy through order verification, dispensing, home medication reconciliation, chart review, and dose/therapy adjustment as applicable. Document medication-related interventions in medical record.
  • Provide clinical support to practitioners. Make recommendations and encourage safe and cost-effective pharmacotherapy for patients through multi-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Oversee the medication dispensing process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of medications to patients. This includes supervision of pharmacy technicians and/or interns.
  • Oversee sterile compounding activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • College graduate, R.Ph. (MTS Certified) or PharmD.
  • Licensed/Registered Pharmacist with Missouri Board of Pharmacy required.
  • Excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette, and attention to detail are required.
  • BLS, required.
