We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced Family Medicine, Primary Care, and Internal Medicine physicians based in or able to work onsite in San Francisco. This opportunity is designed for licensed physicians who can apply clinical judgment to review, annotate, and validate medical data for clinical decision-support and healthcare technology workflows.
This role supports current and upcoming onsite consulting opportunities focused on clinical data review, medical annotation, quality validation, case note assessment, EHR data interpretation, and structured clinical feedback. Selected physicians may contribute expertise across family medicine, primary care, internal medicine, inpatient care, hospitalist workflows, clinical documentation, diagnosis review, treatment pathways, and medical reasoning.

Clinical Data Annotation & Review
- Review and label clinical text, EHR data, case notes, and healthcare documentation
- Identify and validate medical entities, diagnoses, treatment pathways, outcomes, and relevant clinical context
- Apply family medicine, primary care, or internal medicine expertise to structured clinical data review
- Ensure annotations reflect medically accurate and clinically meaningful interpretation
Clinical Quality Validation
- Audit annotated datasets for clinical accuracy, consistency, and completeness
- Review clinical summaries, recommendations, or structured outputs for medical soundness
- Flag inaccuracies, inconsistencies, unsupported conclusions, or unclear clinical reasoning
- Provide evidence-based feedback grounded in professional medical judgment
Clinical Knowledge Contribution
- Provide expert input on annotation guidelines, clinical taxonomies, edge case definitions, and medical review standards
- Help refine healthcare data workflows by identifying clinically important distinctions and documentation patterns
- Contribute practical insight into real-world patient care context, diagnosis evaluation, and treatment pathway interpretation
- Support the development of clear standards for clinical review and medical data validation
Documentation & Training Support
- Contribute to clinical documentation standards and reviewer guidance materials
- Assist in developing onboarding or training materials for new clinical reviewers where applicable
- Maintain clear, structured documentation of review decisions, assumptions, and clinical reasoning
- Collaborate with project leads and technical teams to support high-quality clinical data review standards
Ideal Profile
Strong candidates may have:
- MD or DO degree with specialization in Family Medicine, Primary Care, Internal Medicine, or a closely related clinical field
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active medical license in good standing
- 2+ years of clinical experience in inpatient, hospitalist, primary care, or comparable patient-care settings
- Strong ability to review clinical documentation, interpret medical context, and make accurate evidence-based assessments
- Experience working with EHR data, clinical notes, diagnosis pathways, treatment plans, or medical documentation workflows
- Strong written communication skills and ability to document clinical reasoning clearly
- Availability to work onsite in San Francisco, California for project-based consulting work
Educational Background
- MD or DO degree required
- Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine strongly preferred
- Active medical license in good standing required
- Additional clinical training, residency, fellowship, or academic hospital experience is helpful

Contract Details

- Eligible candidates must be based in the United States and able to work onsite in San Francisco
- Part-time, project-based availability
- Expected commitment may vary by project, with many opportunities ranging from approximately 15–30 hours per week
- Competitive hourly compensation in the range of $120–$160/hour, depending on project scope, experience, and fit
- Payments are made weekly via Stripe or Wise based on services rendered
- Projects may be extended, shortened, adjusted, or concluded based on project needs and performance
