As a Matco Tools Sales Representative in Indianapolis, you'll drive revenue by developing relationships with administrators, instructors, and students at technical schools and commercial accounts. You'll deliver classroom demonstrations, manage on-site kiosks and merchandising, run local promotions and events, and close sales.

Schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday

**This position will be performed within technical school storeroom(s). This position is not performed on a Matco Tools Truck. 

What You Will Do:

• Acquire and develop sales revenue at technical education and commercial accounts within assigned territory.
• Establish customer engagement and brand loyalty with administrators, instructors, and students through in-person activity at the assigned key account locations.
• Make one-on-one and classroom presentations, provide information, close sales and perform customer service to all prospective customers at assigned locations.
• Management of on-site merchandising, product displays, and professional appearance of Matco Tools kiosks.
• Regularly scheduled contact with staff/students at assigned key accounts using the on-site Matco Tools kiosks and in classroom settings.
• Manage localized sales promotions as well as motorsports activity events to drive exposure and meet/exceed planned results at assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce quotes, close sales, and enter orders using current methods and systems.
• Full responsibility for customer credit card, cash management, and transactional accuracy.
• Timely and effective personal follow up on all RFQs.
• Provide easy on-site accessibility for students and administrators on a schedule that is mutually agreeable to the customer and the Matco Tools Business Development Manager.
• Consignment and budget product management responsibility and accountability for all products provided for display, promotions, trade shows, special events, and other product demonstrations.
• Maintain 5S-workplace environment in Matco Tools kiosks and at customer events.
• Participate in development and effective execution of both short- and long-term sales and marketing strategies with the Business Development Manager, Key Accounts, and/or Sr. Manager of Commercial Sales.

WHO YOU ARE (Qualifications)

• High-energy, people-oriented with a strong sales mentality driven by commission incentives.
• Ability to close deals and drive sales revenue in a sales environment.
• Skilled in building rapport with administrators, instructors, and students through in-person visits.
• Comfortable and effective in delivering one-on-one and classroom presentations to varied audiences. Excellent communicator.
• Proactive and efficient in managing multiple accounts, while working to acquire new business.
• Proficient in producing quotes, entering orders, and handling credit transactions accurately.
• Diligent in timely and effective follow-up on RFQs and customer inquiries.
• Able to travel between campuses within assigned territory.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage on-site merchandising, product displays, and maintain inventory appearance.
• Capable of organizing and managing localized sales promotions and motorsports events.
• Responsible for consignment product management and budget accountability for displays and events.
• Works with management to develop and execute short- and long-term sales/marketing strategies.
• Basic knowledge of automotive tools or industry preferred.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred in Business.

The base compensation range for this position is $57,000-$67,000 per annum+eligible for a monthly sales/commission plan ($15,000 - $35,000 or more expected potential commission). This role has the potential for an expected total compensation of between $85,000 to $95,000 or more. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon numerous factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.
