Position Summary

The HR Generalist will partner with managers and employees at various levels to provide HR guidance on a broad range of HR programs and initiatives in support of firm objectives. In partnership with the HR team and leadership, this position will implement solutions to address performance management and development, employee engagement, benefits, payroll and HR compliance matters. The Senior Generalist must be an effective, solution-driven individual with strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and relationship-building skills. He/she must also be comfortable with technology. The Generalist must have a solid track record of excelling in fast-paced environments, when faced with ambiguity and while managing competing priorities concurrently. This individual must be an excellent collaborator and trusted business partner with demonstrated ability to consult with and advise leaders and partners at all levels throughout the organization. The person in this role must have the ability to use discretion and good judgment in handling confidential information. This job description is not meant to cover every task. There will be other duties and projects assigned.

Essential Functions / Key Accountabilities Performance Management:
  • Leads the administrative side of the annual performance management process including assisting the Director of HR with setting up and managing the Performance platform in UKG.
  • Supports HR Director with employee-relations activities and programs including but not limited to employee counseling, guidance, coaching on performance management and interpretation of policies.
  • Lead payroll processing including reporting and management of 401k and benefit feeds
  • Coordinate payroll taxes with existing and new states
  • In conjunction with the HR Director and brokers, reviews and recommend benefits strategy and overall plan design.
  • Assist in the annual open enrollment process for employee benefits and manages on-going benefits administration including necessary reporting.
  • Manage all leave programs including those related to FMLA, FFCRA, state laws, disability, ADA, etc.
  • Supports and administers all COBRA processing, worker’s compensation claims, and unemployment claims.
Operations:
  • Lead HRIS duties and reporting for UKG and other programs as needed
  • Answer employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and procedures, referring complex inquiries to senior HR staff.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement surveys and assessment procedures.
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding procedures including exit interviews as needed in conjunction with Recruiting and HR Director.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.
Education
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Preferred
Qualifications
  • Experience with UKG
  • Experience working in a professional services environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist role or other equivalent HR role
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with employee relations or performance management
  • Strong program and project management skills, and ability to operationalize and scale programs
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, while exercising good judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience supporting enterprise - wide change
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships across diverse groups and drive performance toward firm goals
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience facilitating groups in a collaborative manner
Knowledge
  • Exercise solid judgment and understanding of context in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Strong communication and facilitation; ability to successfully transfer information to individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills, time management and prioritization
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

Working Conditions

This position primarily works in an office environment, sitting at a desk, working on a computer. This position is hybrid. Right now, it is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in the office and Wednesday and Friday working at home. This is subject to change in the future.
