Position: Housekeeper

Reports to: Housekeeping Manager

Position starts at $18 per hour. Final rate based on experience.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:40 AM - 4:40 PM

Job Title: Hive Collective Housekeeping Associate

Job Summary:

The Hive Collective Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining cleanliness across all Hive Collective locations and managing housekeeping tasks to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in various facilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a high level of cleanliness and organization in Hive facilities, including McCann Design, Hive Home, Hive Collections, Hive Trade, Hive Bed & Bath, and more. Other buildings may be added as needed.
  • Dusting: Dust all furniture and gifts in all locations at least once a month (excluding the warehouse, 1813, and 1817).
  • Mopping: Mop floors in Hive Home, McCann Design, and Hive Trade at least once a week (excluding the warehouse, 1813, and 1817).
  • Vacuuming: Vacuum floors in Hive Collections once a week. Vacuum floors in offices at least once a month.
  • Bathrooms: Clean and maintain bathrooms at least once a week.
  • Kitchens: Clean and maintain kitchens at least once a week.
  • Apparel: Wear Hive-branded polo shirts (5 shirts will be provided) along with your own dark pants or leggings and black sneakers each day.

Qualifications:

  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper use of cleaning equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Good communication skills and ability to report issues to supervisors.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to move and arrange furniture or equipment as needed for cleaning.
  • Capable of working in various environments, including offices, kitchens, and bathrooms.
  • Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies safely.
  • Good physical stamina and endurance to perform repetitive tasks throughout the day.
