Responsibilities
  • Drive innovation and independently create requirements and develop designs for new networking product ideas, process improvements, technology velocity, higher systems performance, and cost reductions across organizational boundaries.
  • Lead the development of software that improves the velocity, performance, safety, transparency, and manageability of Google network systems across various engineering teams.
  • Define and lead the overarching testing strategy by architecting rigorous unit and component testing frameworks using network emulation tools to drastically reduce NPI cycle times and prevent production rollbacks.
  • Build sophisticated software to interface with global software-defined networking (SDN) controllers, translating high-level network intent into device configurations using industry-standard protocols like gRIBI, gNMI, and RPCs.
  • Evaluate the current inefficiencies, complexities, and flaws in network systems, and propose designs, software, and processes to improve them.
