POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Academy Part-Time Goalkeeper Coach will be responsible for the U14 and U15 academy goalkeepers. The goalkeeper coach will be tasked with constructing and executing individualized goalkeeper sessions as well as assisting head coaches on the field where necessary. This person will work closely with the Academy Goalkeeper coach, as well as academy staff and must adhere to all club and league requirements. The ideal candidate must have previous experience in the role of goalkeeper both as a player and coach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be able to work roughly 20 hours per week, mainly afternoon sessions with our younger age groups- U14 and U15 boys.
• Construct and execute individualized goalkeeper sessions geared towards our style of play and model
• Assist with Head coach needs during a training session
• Actively participate in player individualized meetings and communicate with academy goalkeepers
• Availability to attend home matches on the weekend on a need basis
• Complete Club and League registration requirements including background checks, SafeSport, Heads up.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Playing and coaching experience in the Goalkeeper position
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong ability to communicate and work under pressure.
• Passion for youth soccer and knowledge of MLS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
