Location: Raleigh, NC (Regional Travel Throughout NC, SC & VA)
Compensation: Approximately $90,000+ (DOE) + Performance Bonus
Travel: Regional (primarily driving, occasional overnight stays)
About D80 Systems / SCE Power Plus
D80 Systems, part of the SCE Power Plus family of companies, specializes in designing, installing, commissioning, and servicing integrated low-voltage systems for commercial and multifamily construction projects. Their expertise includes fire alarm, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, and life safety systems across rapidly growing markets throughout the Southeast.
With an expanding project pipeline, D80 is seeking experienced field leaders who can take ownership of projects, build strong relationships with general contractors, and deliver high-quality installations from start to finish.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Fire Alarm Superintendent to lead multiple ground-up multifamily construction projects throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
This is a highly autonomous position for someone who enjoys running projects independently rather than being micromanaged. You'll oversee field execution, coordinate subcontractors, perform system programming and commissioning, maintain quality standards, and work closely with Project Managers to keep projects moving safely and on schedule.
If you enjoy owning your projects and seeing them through from rough-in to final inspection, we'd love to talk with you.
What You'll Do

  • Lead field execution from rough-in through project completion
  • Coordinate subcontractors and ensure quality workmanship
  • Conduct weekly jobsite walkthroughs and quality assurance inspections
  • Attend jobsite meetings with general contractors and other trades
  • Program and commission fire alarm systems
  • Troubleshoot installation and system issues in the field
  • Coordinate materials, manpower, and project schedules
  • Prepare projects for AHJ and fire marshal inspections
  • Ensure installations meet NFPA, NEC, and local code requirements
  • Communicate project progress with Houston-based Project Managers
  • Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, and inspectors

Qualifications
Required
  • 2+ years of fire alarm experience
  • Experience with new construction projects
  • Fire alarm programming experience
  • System commissioning experience
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics experience
  • Inspection and testing experience
  • Experience managing subcontractors or field crews
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel throughout NC, SC, and VA

Preferred
  • Multifamily construction experience
  • Access Control experience
  • CCTV experience
  • Procore experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following:
  • Honeywell
  • FireLite
  • Silent Knight
  • Notifier
  • EST
  • Simplex
  • AutoCall (training available)

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary (approximately $90,000+ DOE)
  • Performance-based operations bonus program
  • $600 monthly vehicle stipend (preferred)
  • Gas reimbursement
  • Company vehicle available if needed
  • Company-paid hotels
  • Rental cars when necessary
  • Airfare when required
  • $35/day overnight per diem
  • Keep your hotel loyalty points
  • AutoCall manufacturer training
  • Long-term career growth with a rapidly expanding organization

Bonus Opportunity
This position participates in D80's operations incentive program.
Projects include an operations bonus pool, with Superintendents receiving the largest share based on successful execution throughout the project lifecycle. Bonuses are distributed as projects progress, rewarding ownership, quality, and successful completion.
Why Join D80 Systems?
  • Growing company with a strong pipeline of new construction work
  • Primarily multifamily projects-no retrofit work
  • High level of autonomy and trust from leadership
  • Fast hiring process
  • Opportunity to lead large, complex fire alarm projects
  • Collaborative team with strong project management support
  • Stable workload and long-term career advancement

If you're an experienced fire alarm professional looking to step into a leadership role where you can own projects from start to finish, we'd like to hear from you.
