Job Description:

MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Programmer located in Chattanooga, TN. Our client is building automation industry Leader looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. They are known to respect a traditional work week and often extend contracts for added job security and stability

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Programmer with hands-on experience programming fire alarm systems. This role will focus primarily on programming fire alarm panels and system configuration (70%), along with troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning newly installed systems (30%).

The ideal candidate will have experience working with fire alarm platforms such as Simplex, Fire-Lite, or Siemens and be comfortable working in field environments.

Responsibilities:

Program and configure fire alarm control panels

Perform device mapping and system logic programming

Troubleshoot fire alarm systems and identify technical issues

Test and commission newly installed fire alarm systems

Verify proper system functionality and ensure code compliance

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings

Support installation teams during system startup when needed

Complete service documentation and reports accurately

Ensure all work follows NFPA standards and safety requirements

Qualifications:

1–2+ years of fire alarm programming experience

Experience with Simplex, Fire-Lite, or Siemens systems preferred

Experience with troubleshooting and commissioning fire alarm systems

Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams

Experience with low-voltage systems

Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills

Basic computer/documentation skills

Valid driver’s license preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

NICET certification

Experience with additional fire alarm platforms such as Notifier or EST

Previous field service experience

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work on ladders and lifts

Ability to work in construction and customer site environments

Additional Details:

Duration: 04 Months with possibility of extension

Location:  Chattanooga, TN37416

Shift hours: Mon – Fri; 08 to 05
