CDL B Delivery Driver

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for CDL B Delivery Driver in Lafayette, IN. If you have a Class B CDL, Hazmat & AirBrake Endorsements, and a clean driving record, this is an opportunity you need to pursue!

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, crouching, kneeling.
  • Driving a vehicle.
  • Repetitive movement.
  • Operating motorized equipment.
  • Sitting; standing; walking.
  • Working indoor/outdoor as business needs.
  • Working at increased noise levels.
  • Safety hazards.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Class B CDL Required with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Able to read and write English.
  • Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment, and company-administered road test.
  • Ability to communicate with customers. Drug-free work environment.

Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations.

Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.

Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork, including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets.

Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.

Performs other duties as assigned.
