Job description

Diagnostic Radiology Technologist - Full Time - Monarch Medicine Urgent Care

Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support certification, required
  • Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning
  • Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible)
  • If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire
  • Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit

Responsibilities

  • Family practice/urgent care outpatient office environment only
  • No heavy lifting of patients.
  • No fluoroscopy
  • Expected to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric
  • Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images
  • Treats patients with care and respect
  • Front desk registration responsibilities are expected. Occasional back office responsibilities when needed.
