Job description

Position Summary:

The Design Engineer role is part of the Isolation Valves business unit within Emerson AlArabia for Manufacturing in Saudi Arabia. This position is responsible for delivering engineering support for project and sales orders across valve and actuation product lines. The role involves endtoend ownership of order engineering activities, close collaboration with global engineering, manufacturing, sales, and operations teams, and ensuring solutions meet customer, quality, and industry requirements.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Provide engineering support for customer orders, including design, modification, and documentation of valve and actuation solutions.
  • Develop and maintain engineering deliverables such as 3D models, integrated drawings, bills of materials, and technical documents using a 3D CAD environment.
  • Interpret customer specifications, datasheets, and applicable international codes and standards to ensure compliant and optimized designs.
  • Define automation and actuation philosophies for various valve applications, aligned with customer and project requirements.
  • Support technical queries from sales, quotation, and order management teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams to support production, procurement, and field activities.
  • Prepare customer drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturing documentation for internal use and customer submission.
  • Review and approve internal and supplier drawings, recommending improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including revisions, change notices, and order updates, in line with quality systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by learning new products, applications, and engineering practices.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

  • Experience using 3D CAD tools for engineering design and documentation.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, geometric tolerancing, and process documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English in a professional engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Product knowledge related to butterfly valves, ball valves, and actuator systems.
