About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Engine Mechanic to join our team and help prepare, rebuild, and assemble engines and hydraulic components for agricultural machinery.

This hands-on position is ideal for a mechanically skilled individual who takes pride in quality workmanship, follows detailed procedures, solves problems, and works well both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare engine blocks for short- and long-block builds, including washing, deburring, inspection, and painting.
  • Prepare oil galleries, cam and lifter bores, sealing surfaces, and other engine components.
  • Inspect components for cracks, defects, wear, and other issues.
  • Perform basic measurements using micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring equipment.
  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, and assemble engine oil pumps and hydraulic SCV valves.
  • Assist with engine assembly while following established procedures and quality standards.
  • Complete build checklists and accurately document work performed.
  • Meet established production and quality goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work independently while communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Assist with other projects and duties as needed.
  • Strong mechanical background and aptitude.
  • Experience with engines, heavy equipment, agricultural machinery, or similar mechanical systems preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools and basic measuring equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic measurements with micrometers and/or dial indicators.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow procedures, checklists, and quality standards.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Forklift certification or ability to complete in-house certification.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain a basic tool set within the first 90 days; tool program available to help offset the cost.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position is performed in a climate-controlled industrial environment. Employees will regularly work around moving mechanical parts, with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud.

The position requires the ability to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift, carry, bend, stoop, and reach.
  • Occasionally handle 50โ€“100 pounds and frequently handle 25โ€“50 pounds.
  • Safely handle engine components and mechanical parts.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment physical/functional capacity assessment.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment.
