SRM Concrete, a national leader in ready mix concrete, is hiring Fleet Mechanics to keep our fleet of mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other essential vehicles running safely and efficiently. As a Fleet Mechanic, youโ€™ll play a vital role in ensuring our vehicles and equipment operate reliably to meet project demands and delivery schedules. If youโ€™re committed to safety, quality repairs, and teamwork, we want to hear from you.


  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and equipment, including oil changes, lubrications, and filter replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in mixer trucks, loaders, dump trucks, tankers, and other heavy equipment.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance and repairs, minimizing downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures in the workshop and on job sites.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work using company systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest diesel engine technology and repair techniques through ongoing learning.

  • Willingness to work variable shifts as needed to support fleet operations.
  • Entry-level candidates are encouraged to applyโ€”we offer on-the-job training for those new to diesel mechanics or heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet mechanic, or heavy equipment technician is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems is preferred.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment; willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety standards and protocols.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in diesel engine repair is a plus.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license required; CDL is preferred.
  • Willingness to complete SRMโ€™s pre-employment screenings.
