Job description

The Commercial HVAC Service Technician plays a critical role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing commercial, industrial, and data center HVAC systems. Working fully independently, this technician provides reliable service and emergency repairs to ensure optimal system performance and safety compliance. The role demands strong technical expertise, effective customer communication, and adherence to safety protocols in a variety of challenging environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system diagnostics to identify HVAC issues
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems
  • Complete repair services and emergency repairs promptly and effectively
  • Support installation and setup of new HVAC equipment as needed
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding service needs and updates
  • Adhere strictly to safety compliance and procedures
  • Test equipment functionality and troubleshoot system malfunctions
  • Provide technical support and advice for optimal system operation

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC service
  • Technical certification in HVAC or related field
  • EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial, industrial, and data center HVAC systems
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Mechanical aptitude with a focus on HVAC technology
