We operate with unparalleled commitment to those who depend on our products and services worldwide to perform their missions.**The Senior Engineer - Crash Analyst performs simulation activities using CAE tools to model, analyze and provide creative, feasible solutions to problems encountered in product development. Communicates simulation methodology, inputs, assumptions, results and recommended actions to design engineering and leadership verbally and through written reports. This is a non-supervisory position.\*This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days working from home each week.**YOUR IMPACT:*** Create models and preform analysis on new or existing products (vehicles and vehicle subsystems, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and/or telehandlers) using CAE tools such as ADAMs, ANSA, Patran, Nastran, LS-Dyna, Star-CCM+, and Amesim.* Propose appropriate simulation approaches and methodologies to maximize customer value.* Maintain effective communication with internal customers on project scope, technical approach, timing, and results.* Provide clear interpretation of simulation and analysis results to customers through technical reports and presentations.* Provide technically feasible approaches for product improvement to result in improved performance and weight / cost reductions based on analysis and experience.* Conduct duties in an ethical, professional manner consistent with the Oshkosh Way and defined policies and procedures.* Work independently and as part of a team to complete work and meet established and agreed upon deadlines.* Collaborate with test engineering teams to develop and support system and subsystem testing.* Perform correlation of test data to simulation results to identify opportunities to improve simulation methodologies or identify test related issues.* Develop scripts (Python, Matlab) for process automation.* Other duties as assigned.* Regular attendance is required.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*** Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.**STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:*** Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics.* Familiarity with CAE tools and programming language.* Familiarity with FMVSS Regulations**Pay Range:**$79,300.00 - $126,900.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
