CRANE MECHANIC WANTED

Construction Crane Mechanic Job Description

A construction crane mechanic is a specialized technician responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe, efficient operation of cranes and other heavy lifting equipment used in construction and related industries

Job Overview

Crane mechanics work on-site or in maintenance facilities, ensuring that cranes meet safety standards and operational requirements. They combine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic expertise to diagnose faults, perform repairs, and prevent downtime

Key Responsibilities

●        Inspection & Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of cranes, hoists, and lifting gear; perform preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues

●        Diagnosis & Repairs: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems; repair or replace defective parts

●        Safety Compliance: Ensure all crane operations comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations

●        Recordkeeping: Maintain detailed logs of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities

●        Collaboration: Work with engineers, operators, and safety inspectors; assist in crane assembly or upgrades

●        Training: Supervise or train junior mechanics and apprentices
