Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Liebherr Crane Mechanic to join our Audubon team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of mechanical experience, with a strong preference for hands-on experience working with Liebherr LR and LTM cranes. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and inspecting cranes to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Liebherr cranes and related equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement effective solutions
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and electrical components
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
  • Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs
  • Help coordinate with operations and supervisors to schedule maintenance and repairs
  • Respond to field service calls as needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanic experience (heavy equipment or crane experience required)
  • Direct experience working with Liebherr LR and LTM cranes preferred
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and software
  • Proficient in reading technical manuals and schematics
  • Valid driver's license with good MVR
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Physical Requirements

  • OEM training or certification on Liebherr equipment
  • NCCCO or other crane-related certifications (a plus)

Work Environment

  • Field-based work and very little shop work
  • Will require travel to job sites
  • Exposure to noise, grease, and heavy machinery
