Position Title: Controls EngineerDepartment: Model ShopLocation: Fenton, MOReports To: Manufacturing Engineer ManagerClassification: Salary -Exempt Position Summary: The Controls Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as process control, electrical engineering, troubleshooting.Essential Job Duties: The Control System Engineer is responsible for development of the technical aspects of assigned projects. This may include:Assist in feasibility studies and development of cost estimationSystem architecture design (PLC/HMI/DCS, I/O, networks, computer infrastructure)Electrical control panel design and schematicsInstrumentation specificationPLC program development and implementationRobotic programming and supportHMI/SCADA application development and screen designDesign, build and maintain assembly and test equipment. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure projects meet scope, budget, and schedule expectations.Communicate effectively with project manager throughout the project lifecycle, keeping them informed of progress, risks, and costs.Maintain expertise in industry trends and vendor/partner offerings to recommend solutions aligned with business needs.Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred, but not required.
