Job Description
The Information System Security Officer will provide vital support for the implementation and maintenance of our information assurance protocols. You will collaborate on the development, coordination, and enforcement of information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
The Senior Information Systems Security Officer shall possess the following capabilities:
  • Enhancing the system security posture by supporting the program, organization, system, or enclave's information assurance initiatives and enforcing security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Overseeing security operations for information systems, managing daily security aspects, evaluating security solutions for classified processing, and conducting vulnerability and risk analysis/assessments for system authorization.
  • Managing configuration and system integrity by administering configuration management for security software, hardware, and firmware, ensuring compliance with security controls, and assessing the impact of system changes.
  • Developing and maintaining security documentation and System Security Plans lifecycle management activities to ensure compliance with system security requirements.
    Providing technical expertise in security policies and operations, supporting the implementation and maintenance of security measures and countermeasures, and collaborating with stakeholders to maintain compliance and strengthen the system security posture.
  • Driving continuous improvement by assessing existing security processes, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing proactive solutions to enhance system resilience.
  • Maintains operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
  • Assists with the management of security aspects of the information system and performs day-to-day security operations of the system.
  • Evaluates security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
  • Performs vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.
  • Provides configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Manages changes to system and assesses the security impact of those changes.
  • Prepares and reviews documentation to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
  • Assists security authorization activities in compliance with Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security, or related discipline and 12 or more years of related experience, in lieu of bachelor's degree or a Technical Bachelor's Degree.
  • Direct Experience: 10+ years of in-depth experience as ISSO or combination of ISSO and other security related role supporting IC or DoD programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Proficient with customer security tools, corporate repositories, playbooks and guidelines.
  • Knowledgeable with applicable frameworks, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
  • Operational understanding of server and IA technologies, internetworking protocols and services.

Certifications Required:
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level II or IAT Level III (i.e., CASP, CISSP, or Associate).

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
Pay Range: 155,000-210,000
