Railcar Loader
Hourly Wage: $31.51
Location: Houston, BC

The purpose of the Railcar Loader Position is to safely operate and maneuver railcars from one rail system to another. This position will look after multiple rail lines and railcar securement. The incumbent will collaborate with CN Rail on incoming and outgoing rail movements. The railcar loader uses a variety of equipment and tools on site for rail movements, including a remote device for the loading portion of this position.

Your Day-to-Day as a Railcar Loader. You’ll be:

  • Ensuring the highest level of safety standards, ensuring compliance with all applicable government regulations and corporate policies. Reports safety incidents and or infractions.
  • Adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environmental protocols.
  • Performing cleaning tasks per daily, weekly or monthly schedules or as assigned by their supervisor.
  • Assisting in loading pellets and completing the necessary administrative checklists and data input for tracking and shipping of pellets.
  • Participates in continuous improvement and quality control initiatives.
  • Operates mobile equipment, which may include a shuttle wagon, skid-steer, and front-end loader, as assigned.
  • Assists maintenance staff or completes basic maintenance tasks when the plant is down alone or under the direction of maintenance staff.
