Description
Allied Vaughn is a leader in film and television title distribution, utilizing our unique Manufacturing On-Demand (MOD) processes. Our customers comprise of a who's who in film, television, and special interest video entertainment, like well-known major studios and independent studios. We are seeking a full time Digital Operations Support Tech (MOD).
This is a full-time hourly position, working 40 hours per week, typically during standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be needed. Due to the nature of this position and the agile culture with many of these assignments, you will be expected to have flexibility with your work schedule to accommodate client needs.
Allied Vaughn is seeking a Digital Operations Support Tech to support our Director of Operations. Some of the responsibilities would include asset preparation of DVD & Blu-ray titles, project planning, scheduling, ingestion and set-up. We have a fast-growing catalog of titles that we need to support. The right fit for this role is someone who is an efficient worker, able to work on a team as well as independent, has good communication skills (bi-lingual with English and Spanish is a plus), able to use multiple software tools in the conversion and preparation of audio & video titles.
Requirements
Responsibilities Include, but are not limited too:
  • Prepares Video/Audio files (CD/DVD/Blu-ray) for digital storage
  • Scheduling production of titles to coincide with the demand from customer orders to physical disc formats
  • Includes receiving digital assets from multiple platforms
  • Works with software tools for ingesting files
  • Managing disc capacity
  • Uses DVD conversion software for the creation of audio/video files, such as ISO, DDP.
  • Works within our video systems linking digital assets together creating unique product sku's in preparation for digital storage
  • Coordinates and documents asset receipt and completion within the title on-boarding team
  • Interacts with on-boarding team for title set-ups in Allied Vaughn business system reflecting titles as available for sale
  • Investigates issues, defines and recommends solutions, and leads efforts to resolve
  • Assesses equipment/software needs and makes recommendations to Director of Operations
  • Works with team to troubleshoot technical issues or address technical questions related to the title preparation
  • Routes completed video/audio files to other Allied Vaughn/Client facilities
  • Interacts with Allied Vaughn operations staffing as necessary, problem-solving asset production issues

  • Project Management - Ability to organize and complete project lists, scheduling production and balancing
  • Technical Aptitude - Ability to comprehend spreadsheets and understanding all types of media file digital assets. Ability to learn existing software as well as new software as needed.
  • Communication, Written and Oral - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in writing and using spoken word
  • Autonomy - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Creative - Ability to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equal job experience with media or related field
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, and MS Office products
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
