Position Summary

Houston Christian University seeks adjunct professors for the Department of Theology to teach introductory residential classes (in Biblical Studies and/or Christian Theology). Most courses are taught during the day, either MWF or TR. Houston Christian University is located in Southwest Houston, in the Sharpstown neighborhood. Review of applications will begin immediately.

Job Responsibilities:

• College level teaching experience
• Utilize a course syllabus for each course and follow established departmental and institutional guidelines
• Provide timely, quality access to students via personal consultation, electronic communication,

Qualifications:

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Bible or Theology. ABD candidates will be considered. The desired candidate should be enthusiastic about teaching Biblical Studies/Christian Theology at a Christian institution with a firm commitment to Christian orthodoxy. Candidates must affirm the Preamble and 10 Pillars.
