Job description

A well-established New York City law firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will handle a broad range of general accounting, financial reporting, banking, budgeting, and payroll responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Perform bank and escrow account reconciliations
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and management reports
  • Support quarterly and annual budgeting
  • Assist with annual financial reviews and 401(k) audits
  • Process escrow transactions, wires, ACH payments, and state tax payments
  • Support payroll processing through Paylocity
  • Assist with cash receipts, check processing, and other accounting functions

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Law firm experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Aderant preferred
  • Strong Excel and general ledger accounting skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Compensation: $125,000-135,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
