Job Summary:

Bamboo Insurance is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for new state expansion across key Western and Eastern markets. This role is responsible for designing, launching, and scaling Homeowners insurance products in new regulatory and risk environments, partnering closely with Pricing, State Management, Underwriting, Compliance, Technology, and carrier partners.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, execution-oriented product leader with strong knowledge of property insurance, state-specific regulatory frameworks, and various state peril profiles. This role will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for new states - from market assessment and product design through regulatory approval, system implementation, and post-launch optimization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for new state launches, including market assessment, product design, pricing and coverage strategy, regulatory filings, and market launch.

  • Develop state-specific product strategies that account for regional risk characteristics (e.g., wildfire, hail, wind, water), regulatory requirements, and competitive dynamics.

  • Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, claims, sales and operations to design and refine insurance products.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for product differentiation.

  • Serve as a key internal point of contact for new state product strategy, providing clear communication and status updates to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Support post-launch monitoring, performance analysis, and continuous product optimization in newly launched states.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Ability to translate complex regulatory, actuarial, and technical concepts into clear product requirements.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and execute in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and software.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Data Analytics, or similar).

  • Minimum of 10 years of product management experience within the property & casualty insurance industry.

  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data analysis and product performance monitoring.

  • Demonstrated experience launching or managing insurance products, preferably across multiple states.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic mindset with a hands-on, execution-focused approach.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.

  • CPCU or similar

  • Experience with U.S. homeowners insurance market in various states.

  • Familiarity with state regulatory and filing processes (SERFF, DOI engagement, form/rate/rule approvals).

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary: Starting at $160,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience and abilities will be taken into consideration for final offer.
